ELECTRONIC DERMASTAMP (EDS) TREATMENT
WHAT IS ELECTRONIC DERMASTAMP (EDS)? |
HOW DOES IT WORK? |
The EDS Skin rejuvenation system is the very latest in German technology from Aestheticare. The EDS has transformed the genuine dermaroller technique and enhanced the treatment delivery and results by providing a more intense, controlled and comfortable treatment. The EDS is used in the treatment of:
• Acne scars • Sun damaged and aging skin • Facial and décolletage lines and wrinkles • Stretch marks on the body |
The EDS machine can penetrate the skin up to 150 times per second to cause controlled injury to the skin surface, this allows the body to heal itself by providing an increased collagen and elastin response as the skin regenerates and repairs itself.
The needle depth and speed is precisely adjusted by the practitioner to ensure superior results. A topical anaesthetic cream is also applied to the treatment area to ensure a comfortable and pain free experience. A hyaluronic acid-based solution is also infused into the skin during treatment to enhance the end result. |
WHEN WILL I SEE RESULTS?
Following EDS treatment, the skin will regenerate and repair itself deep into the dermis due to the needle penetration depth. Over a six week period the results begin to show themselves. New collagen is formed, skins cells are regenerated and the blood supply is enhanced to the treated area. This helps tighten the skin and reduce the appearance of fine lines. Normally a series of three treatments is required at six-weekly intervals for optimum results.
Immediately after EDS treatment you will look red and ‘sunburnt’ and your skin will feel warm and tight. Your practitioner will give you aftercare advice, guidance leaflets and the relevant aftercare creams and SPF 50 tailored to your treatment. |
The redness can last for up to four days and only mineral-based make up maybe worn whilst red.
Some peeling can be evident for up to a week post EDS treatment. SPF 50 is essential post treatment and no make- up can be worn for 12 hours. |
